Problem with exporting .aab, file type gets changed

Hello,

I'm working on Mac, everything is up to date.
I try to export my game as an .aab file for the Google Play Console, but when I do that the final file gets renamed to gamename.aab.aa.apk.
SO the .aab export seems to be broken.
When I change the file ending manually the file doesn't work in the Google Play Console.

I guess I should report this as a bug, but has anyone else noticed that?
