Setting up first time for Android. Version Confusion...

I am, for the first time, setting up for Android. I have GameMaker 2024.8.

When I follow the instructions for downloading and installing Android Studio the version # is 2024.2.1 (Ladybug).

• Does the Android Studio version matter?
• The documentation states to install 2024.8 but I think that is the GameMaker version and not the Android Studio Version since it hasn't hit the 2024.8 release yet, or should I install some pre-release/development version of Android Studio?
