Gamemaker studio will not open anymore

Gamemaker studio wont open up anymore. I downloaded gamemaker a bit back, and was able to use it just fine, but then when I closed it down for the day, next day it wouldn't open. I've researched how I could get it working again, I tried anything I could think of and what other people came up with, but none seem to work. my laptop seems to meet the requirements needed to run the programme (though I don't know much about computer building).
looking for any possible way to get gamemaker to work...
