CPU spikes while using IDE

I recently built a new system (Ryzen 9900X w/64GB RAM) and have just got around to using GM again. What is super annoying is that while using the IDE, some of the CPU cores (usually 1 or 2 in task manager) will jump to 100% usage, and the CPU package temp will hit 83C (idle is approx 47C), but just for a second or so. Just long enough for the case/cpu fans to go high speed and to then slow down again (I am using FanControl curves, with a 5 sec response time).
